Bedrooms with wooden floors are very traditional in style and although significantly smaller than those in the main building, are well maintained and offer a good level of comfort. Gellert Hill and the Royal Castle are just some of the nearby tourist attractions within easy walking distance. A great budget option.

our opinion: Delightful centrally located property, which although officially a hostel and unclassified, offers all the facilities of a hotel. In our opinion it certainly merits a 2 star rating and is a great choice for those on a tight budget. Modern bedrooms are decorated in bright fresh colours and all with ensuite facilities. The Marco Polo Hotel Budapest also has a small laundry room and kitchenette facilities. The large cellar bar has a wonderful ambience with regular entertainment provided in the evenings making it a popular venue with guests and locals alike.

our opinion: Simple hotel located on a busy main road on the Buda side of the city within close proximity of the Castle. Traditional style bedrooms with wooden floors vary in size and although the décor is somewhat old fashioned they are quite charming, light and well maintained. A popular conference venue with many local companies, the Bara Hotel Budapest is nevertheless very well suited to the leisure traveller.

Although there is no restaurant in the Baross Hotel Budapest there is a pleasant breakfast room and there are plenty of dining options in the surrounding neighbourhood. our opinion: 3 star property located in the heart of Budapest, within walking distance of many of the City’s tourist attractions. The Hotel Erzsebet City Center, which was named after Hungarian Royalty, offers a good standard of accommodation with well equipped bedrooms decorated with yellow and green fabrics and light wood furniture. All rooms have sound proof windows which is ideal given that the hotel has such a central location. The Latin Infused Restaurant and Bar with its summer terrace is a great place to relax in the evening. A great addition to the HotelConnect programme.

Bright, modern bedrooms are simply but pleasantly furnished and well maintained. Bedrooms with their rather compact bathrooms are not as stylish as the rest of the Mercure Buda Hotel Budapest and appear somewhat dated in comparison. Good leisure facilities include a well equipped gym, exercise classes and an indoor swimming pool.
