our opinion: Originally designed as a hotel and "art house" theatre, its purpose was to create synergies between both elements. It has since been re-styled by one of Switzerland's leading interior designers to offer a stylish boutique hotel in the city centre. On entering the reception area you are greeted with a smile. Venturing up to the first floor by modern lift will bring you to a funky breakfast room split over two levels and affording views down to the busy street courtesy of its panoramic windows. A small veranda offset from this is a great place to enjoy a morning coffee (weather permitting). The rooms vary in size and style offering a modern theme mixed with a touch of the hotel's theatrical history.

Montana Hotel, Zurich

our opinion: Great location, just two minute walk from the main train station is the Montana, a hotel which offers both location and value. A few minutes more brings you to the main centre where an array of shops and restaurants can be found. The hotel has cozy rooms decorated in rich colour schemes to create a feeling of warmth, some roof top rooms have feature sloping roofs. The hotel's busy restaurant is a popular meeting point for locals as well as residents. A feature of the hotel is its contemporary look atrium serviced by a unique glass elevator linking all five floors.

Rutli Hotel, Zurich

our opinion: The Hotel Rutli is located in the heart of the charming old town of Zurich, close to Bahnhostrasse railway station. Simply step outside the hotel and you'll find a wide choice of museums, cinemas, theatres, restaurants, bars and shops, as well as the Lake promenade and main station is in walking distance. Since March 2010 the Hotel Rutli has been totally renovated. All the 58 cosy rooms have been equipped with air-conditioning and state-of-the-art flat screen TVs which can play movies, the radio and browse the internet. The newly designed Lobby invites you to relax in front of the fireplace. Refreshing drinks are served at the hotel bar. The breakfast room has been transformed into a nice open area which can be separated to create a meeting room.

our opinion: Seidenhof boasts a classic elegance from its regal façade mixed with a contemporary flair. our opinion: The Crowne Plaza Hotel in Zürich is situated in the trendy Zurich West district, 11km from the airport, very close to the city centre and has direct access to the national highway system. our opinion: Located in what has now become one of the most fashionable districts of the city, particularly at night, the hotel is situated close to a large cinema with a number of restaurants and café bars all within a few minutes walk. The city centre and old town are just 10 minutes away and can be reached via the excellent link of trams and buses that run just a couple of minutes away from the hotel itself. From the hotel's external modern look to the cosy ambience within, the hotel also offers a good service. Rooms are simply decorated with modern comforts whilst the large restaurant offers a range of traditional Swiss cuisine. Excellent Value!

our opinion: Hailed as a breath of fresh air, the sassy Seefeld is worth a second look! Its sharp style begins with clear cut lines from the uncomplicated front. Inside the design displays simple yet contemporary comfort with the latest technology. Each floor has its own refreshing colour scheme giving way to spacious rooms with well appointed facilities. The funky lobby, bright and refreshing with buzzing bar area and modern breakfast room all add to the overall vibrancy that this hotel brings. A small gym and roof top patio area from which to enjoy views over the city rooftops is a unique touch and is definitely a place worth considering!

our opinion: Traditional luxury awaits you in the heart of the city, situated on the famous Bahnhofstrasse and conveniently close to all the main shops and opposite the train station. The Schweizerhof exudes elegance with a real emphasis on service to all its guests. The standard double rooms have been decorated to high standard, and are totally soundproofed. Rooms all vary in style and size with high ceilings and sash windows adding character and sophistication. In addition to all of this you can enjoy an extensive and impressive champagne buffet breakfast to start your day!
