our opinion: Striking building that is a fusion of 19th century original hotel building and a modern extension, which incorporates an atrium at the centre of the hotel. Large marble lobby with stairs leading up to lobby bar and main restaurant, There is also an a la carte restaurant on the 9th floor with fantastic views across St Petersburg, Bedrooms are traditional décor all with air conditioning, internet access, interactive TV's, mini bars and safes. The hotel offers great leisure facilities with sauna's, gym and swimming pool available to hotel guests.
extra information: Visa's are required for travel to Russia; please read the following information (this is based on UK passport holders pls check with your local embassy if you hold a different passport)
1. Passport must be valid 6 months beyond your intended stay
2. Tickets and documents for return or onward travel are required
3. Russian tourist visa required
The Russian Consulate will not usually issue visas more than THREE months prior to entry date. To obtain your Russian Visa you need to have a support letter - this support letter can be obtained through HotelConnect free of charge once you have booked your accommodation with us. Please contact us as soon as you have booked your accommodation with the following information for each of the passengers travelling:
- Full name as in passport
- Date of birth
- Passport number
- Nationality
- Gender
Once you have your support letter you will then be eligible to apply for your visa from the Russian Consulate. Please note that the support letter will only apply to the period of travel booked through us - not for any extended period.
If making a booking for more than one person, please contact and supple reservations with all passengers' names.

restaurant: Ambassador restaurant located in Atrium is an elegant space serving International cuisine. Open for breakfast and dinner.
Le Vernissage restaurant is located on 9th floor with stunning views of St Petersburg and is open lunch and dinner.
from airport: Pulkovo 15km away; Taxi which takes approx. 45mins and costs approx. 1800 Roubles
parking: Private, covered parking which can take 24 cars - local charges apply. Buses can stop to drop off outside hotel for 30mins-1hour max

suite: 5 suites which have large living room, bathroom and bedroom.
business facilities: There are meeting rooms and the maximum number that can be accommodated is 150 pax; there is also a business centre which is open from 08.00 to 20.00 with a boardroom style meeting room also available
disabled facilities: There is ramp access to the hotel and elevators and public areas are accessible by wheelchair. There are five especially adapted bedrooms and these rooms all have interconnecting bedrooms.
family info: There are only two suites and some studio rooms that could accommodate 2 adults and 2 children; there are interconnecting rooms but these all link with an accessible room. Cots and highchairs are available for babies.
swimming pool: 16m indoor pool with mosaic tiling; the pool contains purified water. Free of charge for hotel guests from 07.00 to 11.00 but 540 roubles per hour charge outside of these times.
bedroom: Smoking and non smoking bedrooms available; standard bedrooms are all zip and link so can be twin or double bedded; slightly smaller economy rooms generally used for singles - same décor but shower only.
reception/lobby: Bright, marble reception with glass atrium
bar: Lobby bar located next to Ambassador Restaurant which is open 24 hours for hotel guests. There is also a bar on the 9th floor by Le Vernissage restaurant.
bathroom: All have bathtub except economy bedrooms; large modern bathrooms with bright tiles.
gym: Free of charge for hotel guests from 07.00 to 11.00 charge of 540 roubles per hour outside of these times.
spa: Treatment room and beauty salon with hairdressers, manicure and massage available. Beauty salon and hairdresser open from 08.00 to 20.00. Need to book and local charges apply. Three saunas available Free of charge for hotel guests from 07.00 to 11.00 but 540 roubles per hour charge outside of these times.
superior room 1: Studio rooms with themed décor which are much larger (good for families)
