Old Ground Hotel Ennis, Shannon

our opinion: Dating back to the 18th Century and a former manor house, this charming hotel has a great location on the main shopping street of the picturesque town of Ennis. Bedrooms are brightly decorated in golden hues, opt a classic style and are furnished to a high standard. Rooms contracted are deluxe rooms which are more spacious than the standard rooms. The hotel has an excellent choice of dining facilities including the popular, fashionable Town Hall Bistro where cuisine is an interesting mix of Irish and continental. Other choices include a fine dining restaurant and Poets Corner Bar where traditional live music can be heard on some evenings. Following on from the full refurbishment in 2009 we feel this hotel deserves it's 4 star rating!
