This medieval capital is the perfect city break destination, with more museums, palaces, bars and hidden alleyways than you could explore in a lifetime. Choose from the carefully selected Prague hotels below.
The metro doesn't connect with the airport. If you want to take the bus, they depart from the public bus stands outside the terminal situated across the road, beyond the taxi stands. Journey time into central Prague on the bus takes approx. 50 mins. The service runs every 30 minutes costing CZK 30 and goes only to Dejvicka station.
We advise you to take a taxi. "Airport taxis" are found outside the terminals. The journey into central Prague takes approx. 30 mins and there is a fixed price of CZK 700. Make sure you agree the price before setting off.
Public transport is quick, efficient and inexpensive. Tickets for the underground, trams and buses are interchangeable and cost around CZK 8 for one journey, or CZK 12 for a ticket that is valid for 1hr. Beware of taxis that you hail from the streets, or set the price before setting off - it is better to get the hotel to call you a taxi.
The main department stores around Wenceslas Square are open from 9am to 6pm Monday to Friday and until 1pm on Saturday.
