bus:

From Gare du Nord: Many buses leave from Gare du Nord and will take you to different destinations. (number 43 goes to Opera and St Augustin area; bus number 31 goes to Wagram, and Arc de Triomphe area).

From Charles de Gaulle Airport: Air France Bus to Arc de Triomphe (10 Euros, every 15 mins) to Arc de Triomphe/Etoile and Porte Maillot, journey time 50 mins approx.
Roissy bus to Opera, rue Scribe ( 8.20 Euros, every 15/20 mins ), journey time 1 hour approx.

From Orly airport: Air France Bus to Montparnasse and Invalides(7.50 Euros, every 15 mins), journey time 35 mins approx.
Orly bus to Denfert Rochereau (5.70 Euros, every 12/15 mins), journey time 40 mins approx.

From Paris Beauvais Airport:
There is a shuttle service between Paris Beauvais Airport and Paris Porte Maillot. The shuttle costs 13 EUR one-way. Tickets can be bought online at: http://ticket. aeroportbeauvais.com

From Paris Beauvais Airport:
Take a train from Gare du Nord (TER - regional express train) to Beauvais Station. From the station of Beauvais to the airport, a taxis costs 10EUR during the day, and 13EUR after 7.30pm. The journey should take approx. 1hr 10 mins plus a 15 min taxi journey from the station.

other transport:

From Gare du Nord: The following hotels can be reached on foot: Relais de Paris Gare du Nord, Du Leman, Libertel Terminus Nord, Montholon, Aida Opera, Relais de Paris Republique and Relais de Paris Lafayette. All other hotels can be reached by metro / RER with no more than one change.

getting around:

The Parisian metro offers good coverage and will take you nearly everywhere in the city. Tickets can be bought by ten in a "carnet" (approx. 12 Euros). We advise you to buy the Paris Visite pass which entitles you to unlimited travel (including to Disneyland Paris and Versailles) and discounts in some museums and monuments (available from the tourist office and in the main metro/RER stations).

shopping:

Shops usually open Monday to Saturday from 9.00am to 7.00pm, but some small shops will close on Monday. Most shops are closed on Sundays except some on the Champs Elysees, parts of the Left bank (around St Germain) and the Marais has the best Sunday shopping.
