our opinion: The Apex City of London is a deluxe, contemporary four star hotel located close to the Tower of London and Tower Bridge. This is an impressive hotel which has been designed with the guest's absolute comfort in mind. There is a great deal of attention to detail in the bedrooms (including CD players, DVD, widescreen TV's, and pillow choice) to ensure a really comfortable stay. Mid-tone wood, light walls and rich soft furnishing create a plush, relaxing atmosphere; there are homely touches such as artwork on the walls and modern ceramic ornaments. Bathrooms are very bright and modern and feature separate bath and walk in shower.
There is also a striking Brasserie and bar area with floor to ceiling glass panels looking out to the street and a refined fine dining restaurant. The Apex City of London has a great location and is good value for money.

restaurant: There are two restaurants at the hotel; Brasserie City of London is open Monday to Friday 06.00 to 17.00 and Saturday and Sunday from 07.00 to 22.00; informal glass fronted brasserie serving breakfast, lunches and afternoon teas, during the evening this area becomes an extended bar with good drinks selection and light snacks menu.Award winning Addendum restaurant is rich in decor and offers sophisticated atmosphere open for lunch and dinner Monday to Friday only and serving modern menu.
from airport: From Stansted take the Stansted Express to Liverpool Street and then walk or taxi to the hotel; Heathrow take the Heathrow Express to Paddington and then tube or taxi to hotel alternatively take the Piccadilly line from Heathrow to central London; from Gatwick take the Gatwick Express to Victoria and then take tube or taxi to the hotel

bar: Brasserie of London is the hotels informal restaurant/ bar area; at night the lighting is transformed and it becomes an extended bar area, serving light snacks a selection of cocktails and drinks
gym: There is a mini gym at the hotel open 07.00 to 22.00 and free of charge to hotel guests
standard room: There are smoking and non smoking rooms; all bedrooms either consist of twin beds or doubles. Contemporary, modern rooms finished to a high standard with CD and DVD players, widescreen TV's, fridge, iron and ironing board and choice of pillows to ensure good nights sleep. Each room also feature specially commissioned artwork. Bathrooms are very stylish and have baths with separate walk in showers
