our opinion: One of London's original design hotels, this property offers stylish, minimalist accommodation in central London. The theme throughout the Hempel Hotel London is light creams and whites with clever storage and individual room styles. All bedrooms have unique touches and are finished to a high standard. Reception area is spacious and has lowered seating areas. The corridors are very unique with high ceilings and floor to ceiling doors; without the door handles and subtle numbers the bedrooms could be hard to find! There is a popular restaurant and bar at the hotel as well as the relaxing Zen garden opposite the hotel entrance. A truly stylish hotel experience.

within 20 minutes walk : Bayswater, Paddington, Hyde Park, Queensway, Royal Albert Hall, Kensington Palace and gardens, Marble Arch

apartment: The hotel does have 6 apartments located opposite to the main hotel building. These vary from studio to 2 bedroom and most have garden views. Subject to availability and supplements.

underground /bus/tram: Queensway, Lancaster Gate and Paddington

restaurant: I-Thai is the restaurant at The Hempel Hotel - it is located on the lower ground floor and offers contemporary fusion of Italian and Thai food. The restaurant is very modern and there is high level of service. Breakfast is served here also.

from airport: Heathrow Express to Paddington and then taxi or 10min walk; Gatwick Express to Victoria and then taxi or underground

parking: There is no parking at the hotel

rooms: 47

business facilities: There is a small meeting room at the hotel. The Zen garden can also be hired for functions with marquee if necessary.

disabled facilities: The hotel is not suitable for wheelchair users

reception: Very modern reception with Asian influence as there is sunken seating areas with unusual furniture.

bar: H bar is open daily. There is a new bar manager who has introduced 300 cocktails so you may be there for some time!

garden: The hotel owns garden opposite which is the Zen garden and has been designed as a relaxing haven. This area may be hired out for events and so may not always be accessible.

suite: There are suites available at the hotel which had a bedroom and separate seating area. Subject to availability and rates

superior room: All bedrooms are unique in style and design although all based on a light and airy white theme. Some bathrooms have sunken baths; each room has its own style.
