our opinion: This family-run hotel is a very popular choice, tucked away in a great central location just off the Avenida Da Liberdade and the Botanical Gardens. It is a character hotel and blends in perfectly with the more residential surroundings. The rooms are a good size, bright and comfortable and decorated in a floral theme with some contemporary features following a careful refurbishment. There is a small breakfast room downstairs and an intimate lounge bar just off from the reception open until late for your convenience.

our opinion: The Evidencia Astoria is a swanky new addition to the Lisbon Hotel Selection. This super hotel offers the most wonderful Art Deco style exterior, so beautifully preserved you'll love it before you walk through the doors. The hotel offers a very good for its class standard and only recently opened after an extensive refurbishment at the end of 2009. Contemporary by design, rich with colour and texture, the Astoria is a relaxing place in which to unwind and enjoy a great break. Well located you can walk easily to many of the sights and nearby are a number of places to eat and shop. Rooms are furnished in rich bold colours to add a touch of sensuality and warmth, and we would recommend this as the ideal leisure break hotel.

our opinion: A classic choice, this prestigious little hotel sits in the bustling centre of Lisbon overlooking "Rossio" Square. our opinion: This large and impressive hotel towers above the skyline of the area known as Encosta Das Olaias, close to the up and coming area around the International Trade Fair, there is also an impressive sports club just 150m away . Public areas are quite spacious and there is a contemporary décor with original artwork throughout the hotel. Rooms are well appointed and some offer great views the higher you are across the whole of the International Trade Fair site or town views.

Tiara Park Atlantic Lisboa Hotel, Lisbon

our opinion: The landmark Tiara Park Atlantico Lisbon hotel is housed in a dramatic 18 floor tower of mirrored glass, is well-located in the centre of Lisbon facing the Eduardo VII Park. The interior of the hotel, starting with the air-conditioned lobby is rather impressive, with white marble, polished chromium, and mirrors. A symmetrical entrance frames the tile-bottomed fountains, whose splashing water rises to the top of the sunlit atrium. The décor elsewhere is rich and varied with several exotic touches that suggest an old world, colonial hotel. It is very comfortable, and efficient staff will do everything possible to make sure you have a pleasant stay.
