bus:

KLM Hotel Bus Service:
this service is available to anyone, not only to KLM passengers. Buses leave every 30 mins until 3.00pm, then every hour until 10.00pm. Single ticket: approx. 10 Euros.
This service will take you to the entrance, or very close to the following hotels: Pulitzer, Rembrandt, Ramada Beethoven, Jolly Carlton, Golden Tulip B.P, Ramada Leidse Square, NH City Centre, Ramada Hotel and Suites, Bilderberg Garden and the Hilton Centre.
The Hilton Airport hotel is 5 mins walk away from the airport. There is a complimentary shuttle bus service from the airport to the NH Schiphol Airport hotel, which runs every 20 mins and takes 5 to 10 mins.

rail:

Schiphol Airport Rail Service:
Trains run at 15 min intervals and will take you to the Central Station (about 20 mins, and costs approx. 3.2 Euros). From the station there are frequent trams to every part of the city centre.
You can walk to the following hotels from the Central Station: De Gersterkorrel, Ibis Stropera, Avenue, Singel, Y Boulevard, Di Ann, Terminus and Golden Tulip Barbizon Palace. Other hotels can be reached by tram or with a short taxi ride.
For the NH Utrecht hotel take the train to Utrecht Central Station (costs 25 Euros).

taxi:

A taxi direct from the airport to your hotel costs around 35 Euros and will take approximately 30 mins.

getting around:

It is relatively easy to explore Amsterdam on foot, but there are plenty of options for travelling around the city including trams, buses and taxis. The GVB office in front of the Central Station will provide information and route maps. Amsterdamers tend to get around by bike, and you can hire your own bicycle by the day.

shopping:

Shops generally open from 9.00am to 5.30pm Monday to Saturday but some close on Monday morning and stay open late on Thursday. Department stores in the centre tend to open from 12.00 till 5.00 on Sunday.
